First Assembly Service Project
March 7th - March 11th, 2022
SUMMER BREAK SERVICE
We are spending Spring Break volunteering with First Assembly, a local Fort Myers church, as it prepares for its large-scale annual Easter services. Students can earn FGCU-approved service learning hours through this service project!
Pray for the UPR Cayey Mission Trip:
For students on Cayey's campus to truly abide in Jesus by reading the Bible
For students who know Jesus to share Jesus with others on campus
For a Chi Alpha discipleship movement to grow on this campus
Pray for the UNI Mission Trip:
For UNI Chi Alpha to reach even more pockets of the campus
For hungry students leaders to be raised up in UNI XA
For UNI XA to be emboldened in the Holy Spirit
Pray for the FSU Mission Trip:
For more laborers (staff and student leaders) to reach the campus
For international students to dedicate their lives to following Jesus
For revival to take place in the Panhellenic community
Pray for the First Assembly Service Project:
For students to grow in their love for serving the community
For students to be a blessing to this church community
For the Lord to use all of the preparation to reach the community through their Easter services
Every school year, we spend a month as a Chi Alpha community raising money for this Compassion International ministry dedicated to feeding children in impoverished communities. Students can earn service hours which is required by FGCU for graduation by raising funds with us for this charitable cause. In Spring 2020, we raised $6000 and in Fall 2020, we raised over $17,000 for FeedONE.
Join us and give towards FeedONE today! $10 feeds one child for one month!
A Campus Missionary-in-Training (CMIT) internship with Chi Alpha Campus Ministries is a 9-12 month opportunity to learn and develop the character and competencies necessary for a calling and mission among college students. It will include a Biblical and practical ministry education, character development, and wide variety of skill acquisition required for campus ministry service. It will involve learning and growing under the care and mentoring of veteran men and women who have modeled fruitfulness and godliness and been nationally approved to offer a CMIT internship on their campus.
Experience significant advancement in apologetic deployment, leadership development, and supernatural empowerment through our distinctive CMIT training in Fort Myers. Interact with internationally recognized theologians and apologists throughout our highly relational and intense program designed to train versatile cross-cultural missionaries. Join us on the beautiful campus of Florida Gulf Coast University located in sunny Southwest Florida as we minister to one of the fastest growing college campuses in the U.S.
"I joined the CMIT internship after being in the marketplace. For me, this program felt like a life internship as you not only develop ministry skills, but also develop life skills. It definitely equips you for wherever it is that God is calling you. It was life changing and I highly recommend it!"
"The CMIT program was an incredible opportunity to learn about discipleship in the classroom from seasoned Bible teachers and directly apply that knowledge on the Florida Gulf Coast University campus through building a small group Bible study, discipling people 1:1, and by being a part of the Chi Alpha student and staff family."
"We appreciated all of the hands on experience the CMIT program gave us. Everything we learned was used right away. We were applying what we learned in the classroom in the morning within the same day when we went on campus in the afternoon. We loved learning under and being discipled by the wise Pastor Chris Wheeler and the ultra-intelligent Dr. Joe Mulvihill."
